Dr. Christopher Lair is currently serving as Director of Operations at Mack Brass of Virginia, LLC. He also maintains a busy schedule as a performer and educator. His professional career has included performance positions with orchestras and military bands, and teaching positions with universities, high schools, and middle schools. Along the way, Dr. Lair has developed an international reputation as a soloist and educator, having appeared in Europe, Central/South America, and at numerous conferences, high schools, and universities across the United States. Dr. Lair is a ZO Performing Artist and performs exclusively on ZO Instruments.
He earned his Doctor of Music degree from The Florida State University, his Bachelor and Masters degrees from The University of Kansas, and studied music education at The Southeast Missouri State University. His applied teachers include Scott Watson, Max Bonecutter, R. Winston Morris, Paul Ebbers, and Dr. Robert Gifford.
